Remote healing

Remote Healing is as the term suggests, healing from a distance, where the Reiki Healer or practitioner is not physically present with the recipient.

In fact, Healing is sometimes performed between Countries.

The transference of Reiki Energy to the recipient was originally believed to be dependent on physical proximity.

However, the potential of a Reiki Master ‘sending’ the energy has been proven to be just as beneficial as the customary Reiki ‘hands on’ sessions.

This is obviously convenient to the recipient who can now receive the beneficial effects of Reiki, while being in a different part of the Country – or even in a different Continent – from the Reiki Healing Master.

Another reason to perform a healing session remotely could be due to contagion, or in the case where a recipient does not like to be touched.

 

How does it work?

A number of theories are put forward to why Reiki Healing and Reiki Remote Healing produce excellent results. Some believe the power of Reiki comes by ‘spiritual’ means. Another possible explanation is by Quantum Physics where everything and everybody is Energy – people, animals, the planet – and as such are connected by this energy.

So, whether performing Reiki Healing is conducted 6 inches or 600 miles away, is irrelevant. As an analogy, think of a mobile phone where the two phones can connect with each other over vast distances..

Techniques of Remote Healing

There are a number of ways to perform Remote Healing, depending on the preference or skill of the Reiki Master. This can be by Intention, or by the use of Symbols.

Intention is a technique whereby the Reiki Master visualises his or her own body as the recipients. Using this visualisation, he or she can lay hands over their own body, while transmitting the healing energy to the same area of the recipient. This way, specific organs or areas can be targeted.

Symbols and their use are also used as a means of remote healing. For example, a photograph or drawing can be used as a focus, to aid the sending of the energy to the represented person. Other objects are also used such as writing the persons name on a piece of paper, or the use of a proxy such as a doll – even just a pillow to help focus the healing power to the recipient.

It would seem that Remote Healing is just as effective as being in close proximity to the Reiki Master. Many people have reported significant results – both emotionally and physically – and have experienced the effects or feeling of that energy almost immediately after the healing session begins.
