Since Reiki Healing Courses has been online, a number of emails have been received which have championed the benefits of Reiki Healing in the treatment of Cancer. The use of Reiki for Cancer - in parallel with traditional treatments – have proven to assist the recovery of Cancer patients, especially in the area of controlling pain, along with other debilitating effects associated with the desease and its treatment.

Reiki, Massage, and Acupuncture Mesothelioma Infographic

Alternative treatments such as reiki, massage, acupuncture and even yoga have become very popular palliative treatments for mesothelioma and other types of cancer in recent years. It’s not secret that the symptoms of cancer and its traditional treatments can be painful and debilitating, so it stands to reason that patients should be open to any treatment that can alleviate that pain and improve their quality of life. This is why so many cancer patients have turned to holistic alternative treatments when many other traditional treatments have failed.
Alternative medicine is by its very definition apart from the mainstream medical community, so many people may be skeptical about its benefits. For the benefit of those who would dismiss the benefits of reiki, acupuncture and massage as valid cancer treatments the infographic illustrates the benefits of these alternative treatments on mesothelioma patients.
The infographic opens by stating that cancer is the leading cause of death for people between the ages of 35 and 64 and the second leading cause of death for those over the age of 65. It then goes on to say that doctors have been performing research on alternative treatments being used to treat the symptoms of cancer and harsh treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation. The infographic then gives a number of eye-opening statistics on the effects of reiki, acupuncture and massage on cancer patients and survivors. For example, it states that one study shows that 60 percent of patients with breast cancer have felt significant pain relief due to massage. It also says that a study of 1,200 cancer patients feel as if their pain levels dropped by about 50 percent due to reiki treatments.
The infographic goes on to present other fascinating facts and statistics. It is stated that acupuncture and massage therapy can treat symptoms such as pain, nausea, diarrhea, anxiety, loss of appetite, depression and other symptoms commonly associated with cancer. The studies presented also indicate that acupuncture could be useful in increasing red blood cell counts. Check it out!
